The first Sunday of the new year. I still cannot believe its 2020. Can y'all??? I thought when I got to the age I am now I would be ready for the "old folks home". Jokes on me, huh?? I hope and pray that's a long, long time away.
Terry had the weekend off this week so we made the best of it. The rest of our Christmas decorations came down. They where the ones outside. We have had some much rain here lately, its been hard to get them down. But down they are now. Our oldest grandson had a basketball game Saturday in Goldsboro. Those little fellas played their hearts out. I don't remember basketball being played that fast when my son played Rec Ball. Oh well, times change. Mason's time lost, but they really did well. I'm proud of him anyway, lol!
Today we went to church, came home and had lunch. I got to get me a little cat nap. It was glorious!! I love a nap. Then we went to our youngest grand daughter's birthday party. She is four today and just precious. She is such a happy and loving baby. Well, all of our grandchildren are. I always tell they that they give the best hugs. They will squeeze you really tight, like they don't want to let you go. Its the best feeling.
I did get to snap a few photos of some of the outfits I wore. I really haven't bought anything new lately. I have been so busy with Thanksgiving and Christmas, not only here at home but where I work. I am hoping to get into a routine of sorts to do more try ons and such. Let me know where you all are into. I like a more classy, trendy look. Without trying to look 25. lol. Those days are gone and I am glad. I like the age I am now. I personally think I take better care of myself now than when I was younger. I know I exercise and take better care of my skin. I used to worship the sun, now I do everything I can to stay in the shade. Things change.
I want to tell you this quick story and I will post the outfits at the end.
I was in the nail salon here in Mt. Olive Saturday, getting a manicure; they do a great job. This place is under new management and absolutely love it. Anyway....I was sitting there minding my own business, people watching like I do. I noticed that there was at least 4 nationalities in one room. I heard all different languages. There was, Spanish, English, Haitian, Korean. Just in that one room. I couldn't understand anything, expect of course English. I got to thinking on the way home, when we get to Heaven will be all speak the same language??? Will I finally understand different languages?? To be sure if God can give us different dialects, He can make where we can communicate when we get to Heaven, right? I came home and told Terry and he just shook his head at me. I know I'm elementary sometimes, but I do wonder about things like that. I want to be able to communicate to everyone when I get to Heaven because I love to talk. I thought that might make you laugh a little, it did me.
Below are a couple of photos. The original ones would not upload for whatever reason. Although, I did get the one I wore Saturday. The other is from a recent trip to Boone.
The cardigan was a gift from my oldest grad daughter, Riley. I will have to ask where she got it from, but the brand is Pink Rose. Size small.I wore it over a tank from AE. Its long so you can wear it out, completely tucked in or half tuck as shown here. This is a size small. I found these cute flare jeans at the Wild Arrow Boutique in Pink Hill. The softest fabric and the great thing about them is they are pull on. Crazytown, I know!! Size small. I paired them with some suede grey booties with a chunk heel; to give me a little height, I bought a few years ago from Old Navy. I will have to check and see if they are still available.
Blessings,
Dawn
